Hospital TV Program Nominated for Regional EMMY Award
August 25, 2008 – PulseBeat, a half-hour newsmagazine produced quarterly by Great River Medical Center’s Public Relations Department, has been nominated for a regional EMMY Award by the Mid-American Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Nearly 750 entries in 85 categories were received for this year’s awards. After the first round of judging, 265 entries were nominated for EMMY Awards. PulseBeat is nominated with five other entries in the Health category. EMMY winners will be announced Saturday, Oct. 4, at the 2008 Mid-America EMMY Gala in St. Louis.
Since its debut in April 2007, PulseBeat programs have looked at cardiovascular medicine, life fitness, spine health and urology. The next PulseBeat will highlight treatments for conditions affecting the ear, nose and throat. Air dates are:
