GRMCís Inpatient Rehabilitation Program Achieves International Accreditation
April 14, 2005 – Great River Medical Centerís Inpatient Rehabilitation program has received a three-year accreditation from the Committee on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)
A three-year accreditation is the highest level of accreditation. It is awarded to organizations that have undergone a rigorous peer-review process and have demonstrated that its programs and services are of the highest quality. Further, an organization accredited for three years clearly shows that present conditions represent an established pattern of operations that is likely to be maintained or improved in the future.
CARF is an independent, not-for-profit accrediting body promoting quality, value and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served. Since 1966, CARF has established consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
