Great River Klein Center Staff Receive State Recognition
October 14, 2004 – Two Great River Klein Center employees recently were recognized as leaders in their areas of expertise in the long-term-care profession by the Iowa Health Care Association and Iowa Center for Assisted Living.
Sue Roberts, social services coordinator, received the 2004 Excellence in Long-term-care Award for Social Services, and Molly Dockendorff, receptionist, received the 2004 Excellence in Long-term-care Award for Administrative Services at the associationsí annual convention in Des Moines. Roberts has worked at the Klein Center for 12 years; Dockendorff, eight years.
The Klein Center is a 125-bed nursing home located at 2910 Madison Ave., Burlington. In 2003, it was named one of the Americaís Top Nursing homes by Consumersí Research Council of America, the nationís leading consumer group that evaluates professional services throughout the country.
The Iowa Health Care Association is a nonprofit association whose nearly 500 members provide services to Iowa's frail and elderly served through nursing facilities, senior living, assisted living, and residential-care facilities. The Iowa Center for Assisted Living is the assisted-living branch of the Iowa Health Care Association
