Graduating High School Seniors and Transitional Scholarships

Great River Friends awards scholarships to high-school students who are pursuing health-care careers and adults who are or have been in the workforce and want to transition into the health-care field. Applications do not apply to college students. High-school seniors with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or above may apply. Applicants must live in Great River Medical Center's service area (approximately a 60-mile radius of Burlington). Scholarships are for a minimum of $1,000.

Loan Scholarship

Great River Health Systems' Loan Scholarship Program is designed to help with tuition cost, which can be repaid in time, money or both after graduation from the program for which applicants received funding. The program is intended to support students enrolled in or accepted into an accredited health-care education program. The educational program must support Great River Health Systems' mission and goals. Preference is given to positions that are difficult to recruit and to students nearing the end of their academic programs.
