Great River Business Health Hosts Drug Training for Supervisors, April 5

Great River Business Health will host Drug Training for Supervisors from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, April 5, in the Blackhawk Room at the Center for Rehab and Clinics, 1401 W. Agency Rd., West Burlington, Iowa The course is designed for employers whose companies have a dedicated Drug Free Workplace or performs drug testing.
During the first hour of the program, certified substance-abuse professional Jim Towlerton from Great River Addiction Services will discuss alcohol abuse and testing. The second hour will feature members of the Des Moines County Drug Narcotics Task Force talking about and showing drugs used commonly in southeast Iowa.
The cost of the class is $40 per person. Class size is limited to 45 participants. Certification will be awarded to those who attend and complete the class to help satisfy the Department of Transportation requirement.
