Great River Nephrology Adds Nurse Practitioner

Nurse practitioner Susan Brown, ARNP, has joined the medical staff at Great River Nephrology, a clinic for the diagnosis and treatment of kidney disease. She joins nephrologist Joseph Morris III, D.O., who has treated patients at the clinic since 2008.

 

Specific conditions treated at Great River Nephrology include:

·        Acute and chronic kidney failure

·        Hypertension

·        Electrolyte imbalance

·        Acid-based disorders

·        Kidney stones

·        Diabetes-related kidney disease

 

Brown received an associate’s degree in nursing from Southeastern Community College, a bachelor’ degree in nursing from the University of Iowa, and a master’s degree in nursing (acute-care nurse practitioner) from the University of Illinois, Chicago. She has worked at Great River Health Systems since 1990 as an intensive care and acute hemodialysis nurse, as well as a critical-care educator.
