Great River High Performance Program Offers 'Extreme' Fitness Program
April 1, 2010 –
The High Performance Program at Great River Medical Center is taking registrations for Extreme Xross Training, an exclusive new class designed to take participants to the upper limits of aerobic and anaerobic training.
Extreme Xross Training sessions are scheduled from 6 to 7 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, April 26 to June 4, in the High Performance Gym at Great River Center for Rehab and Clinics, 1401 W. Agency Rd., West Burlington, Iowa.
"Extreme Xross Training is geared for people who are already in good to very good condition but are looking for something new and challenging," said High Performance Coordinator Chris Reed. "Participants who commit to the full six weeks and work hard at each session will notice results, such as increased muscle endurance and strength, 2 percent to 3 percent lower body fat and a higher level of fitness than they've had before."
Each participant also will receive instruction for a distinctive dynamic warm-up routine and a suggested nutrition plan.
The cost of the six-week program is $180 ($10 per session). To register for Extreme Xross Training, call Great River Center for Rehab and Clinics at (319) 768-4100.
