Great River Health Systems Accepting Community Endowment Applications
February 1, 2010 – Great River Health Systems is accepting applications for funding from its Community Endowment Foundation. The foundation helps foster health-care services that may otherwise not be available to the community. Applications for funding must meet the following criteria:
- All projects must be related to the provision of health-care services or result in health improvement in the community.
- Applications cannot exceed $20,000 annually.
- Funding will be provided to not-for-profit organizations serving the Great River Health Systems service area (no more than 40 miles from Burlington).
Although funding is reviewed and awarded annually, the Community Endowment Foundation's Board of Directors may consider larger multiyear funding requests. If project funding is awarded, recipients must provide follow-up information when the project is carried out or completed. Future funding requests will depend on satisfactorily meeting this criterium.
Applicants must submit one original and 10 copies of the completed application by Friday, April 16. Grant recipients will be notified before Wednesday, May 12, 2010.
