May 23, 2008 – Great River Hospice is bringing back a summer tradition. "A Night at the Drive-in" is scheduled Saturday, June 7, in Great River Medical Centers employee parking lot. A full-size drive-in movie screen will be set up for the dusk showing of The Final Season.
Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. Pre-movie activities include:
Baseball clinic with Southeastern Community College coaching staff
Buzzy the Bee, the Burlington Bees mascot
Bounce house
Dunk tank with throwing tips from SCC baseball coaches

Pizza, hot dogs, popcorn, peanuts, candy, soda, water and other items will be available for purchase at the concession stand.
The Final Season, rated PG, is a true story. Tradition in Norway, Iowa (Pop. 586), can be summed up in one word: baseball. The Norway High School team has won 19 state championships in 23 years. But a huge threat to a 20th championship comes when the school faces a merger with a nearby school. When legendary coach Jim Van Scoyoc (Powers Boothe) loses his job, Kent Stock (Sean Astin) leaves his job and fiancι to coach the final season. The movie also features Iowa native Tom Arnold.
Parking is first-come, first-served. Admission, which includes everything except the dunk tank, raffle and food, is a $5 donation to Great River Hospice. Tickets are available at:
Two Rivers Bank on Main Street, Roosevelt Avenue and Gear Avenue

In case of rain, the movie and other activities will be held in the Loren Walker Arena at Southeastern Community College.
