Great River Hospice Plans Volunteer Training
March 12, 2008 – Great River Hospice is offering a four-part training program in two locations. Hospice volunteers may work with patients and their families or help the program in many other ways, such as providing food, running errands for families, doing clerical work and planning fundraisers.
The locations and dates are:
• West Burlington – 1 to 5 p.m. April 1, 3, 8 and 10 at Great River Hospice House, 1306 S. Washington Rd.
• Mt. Pleasant, Iowa – 3 to 7 p.m. April 22, 24, 29 and May 1 at Taza Bella, 120 S. Main St.
Great River Hospice serves patients and families in Des Moines, Henry, Lee and Louisa counties. It is a service of Great River Medical Center.
