Women and Family Center - Obstetrics Unit
Great River Medical Center offers one of the area's most attractive comfortable birthing units. Nursing staff and physicians on the Obstetrics Unit provide outstanding maternity and child health services, with family-centered obstetrical care. Educational programs include prenatal classes, sibling preparation, a breast-feeding clinic and infant CPR. Free informational booklets are available to parents-to-be. Our physicians deliver approximately 750 babies at the hospital each year.
Hours of operation: Unrestricted visiting hours for fathers; friends and other relatives over 14 may visit from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and 4 to 9 p.m.; mothers' rest time is 2 to 4 p.m.
