Transitional Care Unit
This 40-bed unit is generally for patients who are in the process of making the transition from the hospital to home or a long-term care facility. Therefore, the unit's level of nursing care is less intensive. Physicians make rounds as medically required by their patients' conditions, and the nursing staff communicates regularly with physicians about the progress of their patients.
